Rules & Scoring System

Changes for 2009 in RED.

1. Final standings: First place: 70%...Second place: 30%

Wins and losses will be kept throughout the season based on the schedule's listed head-to-head matchups. A tie during the regular season will result in .5 win and .5 loss. At the conclusion of Week 11, the teams will be seeded 1 through 6, with teams 5 and 6 eliminated. Seed #1 will play seed #4 in Week 12, while seeds #2 and #3 will matchup that week also. The winners will play for the title Week 13.

In the event of a tie in the standings following Week 11, the first tiebreaker will be head-to-head matchups during the season, and the second tiebreaker will be total points for the season. The third tiebreaker will be record against the #1 seed, proceeding downward until the tie is broken.

If there is a tie in a semifinal playoff game, the tiebreaker will be in-season record against the other playoff game's winner. The second tiebreaker will be total points scored during the season.

2. Weekly lineups must be submitted by 5:00 PM central on Thursday if you are playing any players who are in action Thursday night. Otherwise, lineups must be submitted by 5:00 PM central Friday. Full lineup must be submitted at the same time (no partial lineups), and no changes will be allowed once the lineup is submitted.

3. Lineups must be submitted via blog entry using your personal ID.

4. Standings will generally be posted by Sunday afternoon or evening. Any questions in regards to that week's score must be brought to attention prior to the lineup submission deadline of the upcoming week.

5. Weekly lineup will consist of:
(1) QB
(2) RB
(2) WR
(1) TE
(1) K
(1) Defense/Special Teams

If there is a question as to what position a player falls under, the most up-to-date available depth chart on the school's official athletic website will be used to make that determination.

6. Live draft will consist of 17 total rounds.

7. Draft order will be determined by random drawing, and order of draft will proceed in this fashion: 1-2-3-4-5-6-6-5-4-3-2-1, etc.

8. Players are allowed from BCS conferences only. (Notre Dame and other Independents are not allowed.)

9. Throughout the season, each participant will be allowed a maximum of three roster moves (i.e. releasing a player and signing a player not on someone else's roster). Each player added to your team counts as a roster move. (Therefore, swapping two players for two other players results in the use of two of your three roster moves.)

10. Throughout the season, each participant will be allowed a maximum of three trade moves (i.e. exchanging one of your player's for a player on someone else's roster). Each player added to your team counts as a trade move. (Therefore, trading two players and getting two players in return results in the use of two of your three trade moves.)

11. Rosters are frozen automatically when your Week 11 lineup is submitted.

12. Each participant will also be allowed a maximum of three trades with other participants. A trade can involve an unlimited number of players and participants.

13. A special teams touchdown scored will result in points for that defense, not that individual player. (Example: Sam has Utah State WR DeAndre Rodriquez. John has Utah State's defense. Rodriquez returns a punt for a touchdown. Sam receives no points, as the touchdown was scored on special teams. John receives the points for the punt return touchdown.)

14. Defenses are responsible for all points and yards given up, regardless of how those points and yards were achieved.
